Jasen Emmons
Jasen Emmons is the director of curatorial affairs at EMP|SFM in Seattle. Since joining EMP in 1999, he has curated six exhibitions, including Bob Dylan’s American Journey, 1956-1966, which explored the critical and transformational decade in this American music legend’s career. It debuted in fall 2004 at EMP before beginning a national tour, which included the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, the Pierpont Morgan Museum & Library in New York City, and the Skirball Cultural Center and Museum in Los Angeles.

Most recently, Emmons served as lead curator of American Sabor: Latinos in U.S. Popular Music, the first interpretive museum exhibition highlighting the profound influence and impact of Latinos on American popular music.

Emmons graduated from the University of Oregon and holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Washington. He is the author of the epic country and western novel, Cowboy Angst (Soho Press, 1995, Scribners, 1996).

Jacob McMurray
Jacob McMurray is the senior curator at EMP|SFM in Seattle. His tenure with EMP|SFM began in 1994, and he has since organized 12 exhibitions, including Jimi Hendrix: An Evolution of Sound and Paper Scissors ROCK: 25 Years of Northwest Punk Poster Design. McMurray is an active independent arts curator, graphic designer, and co-founder of the award-winning small literary press Payseur & Schmidt. He holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in anthropology and Danish language and literature from the University of Washington.

In his spare time he delights in printing manifestos on his 1906 Pearl Improved #11 letterpress and waiting for the revolution to come. Jacob lives in Seattle with his lovely wife Sara on their urban pseudo-farm, complete with dog (Kozy Shack), cats (Nyarlathotep, Yog-Sothoth, and Pico Poncharello), and chickens (Lulu, Frida, and Little Champion).

Brooks Peck
Brooks Peck is a researcher for the curatorial department at EMP|SFM in Seattle. He joined EMP|SFM in June 2004 and has co-curated exhibitions on the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence, science fiction book and magazine cover art, and the Science Fiction Hall of Fame.

Peck is currently curating Spaced Out: The Final Frontier in Album Covers, an exhibition on space themes in pop music album covers from the 1940s - 1960s.

Prior to joining EMP|SFM, Peck worked as an entertainment writer and editor, specializing in science fiction, fantasy, and horror for publications such as Wired, SciFi Channel Magazine, and Giant, and Amazon.com. In 1996, he co-founded Science Fiction Weekly, the first professional Web site devoted to science fiction, and later served as editor-in-chief.

Peck recently completed the Museum Studies Certificate Program at the University of Washington.
